Joshua Radin @ Gramercy Theatre 8/9

With a voice that’s so airy and beautiful and intoxicatingly pure, it’s no wonder that Joshua Radin’s songs have appeared in over 150 commercials, films, and TV shows (because they are perfectly bright and cheery, yet subtle), and it’s also no surprise that he’s sung duets with so many lovely singers like Imogen Heap, Schuyler Fisk, and Sheryl Crow (to highlight just a few).

Radin’s music first sprung onto the radar once he appeared on Scrubs and he also became a quick favorite of Ellen DeGeneres, which blossomed his career. His debut album We Were Here was released in 2006, and just this year he released his seventh full-length called The Fall. His sound remains poetic and smooth over the course of his discography, but sprucing up his quintessential sound isn’t something that you really want to happen. You want Joshua Radin to stay with his singer-songwriter sound, writing songs that are endearing and easy-listening, full of great stories, and always seem to complement your mood.

His upcoming tour is presented by SiriusXM and is called Coffeehouse Live. It will be accompanied by Rachael Yamagata and Brandon Jenner.
