Cults Announce Offering, First New Album in Four Years For October 2017 Release

Indie rock group Cults are back with a new album, to be titled Offering. Their third full-length studio album will be released on October 6, 2017. The album information was recently posted on iTunes. The album is the group’s first since 2013’s sophomore effort Static, which was released on Columbia Records and followed up the band’s buzzworthy breakthrough self-titled debut.

Several short clips of the songs have been released on the band’s Instagram profile (which has been cleared other than the seven new videos). Apparently from the same song, the clips feature a mysterious and dark theme, guided by heavy bass and drum beats and lead singer Madeleine Follin’s unmistakably angelic vocals.

Touring bassist Nathan Aguilar is a member of ex Quicksand vocalist Walter Schreifel’s awesome psych rock project Dead Heavens, who just released their debut LP Whatever Witch You Are this year.
