Holgrams, the English progressive rock band, will be at Empty Bottle August 10th. The band combines indie/alternative/pop and metal to creative a truly distinct sound. Holograms live shows are known to be extremely impressive and shouldn’t be missed. It’s been said that “Hologram’s live show is raw, intense and emotionally stirring.” The band was on a live performance hiatus in 2016 while their founding member had commitments elsewhere but now they’re back on the road.
The band formed in 2011 and consists of founding member Dan Hotten, a multi-instrumentalist who provides lead vocals as well as guitar and keyboard. Matt Wilson is on lead guitar, Charlie Morrison on the drums and bassist Matt Branigan who joined in 2012. The band’s debut EP The Void was released in 2014; with the emotional lyrics, the record has been called heart wrenching. Definitely a band to listen to when you want to wallow in your own self-pity.
