Japanese experimental band Boris will be venturing to the other side of the globe this Fall, a few months after their newest LP entitled Dear hits the shelves on July 14th. Beginning in Fresno, CA, Boris will be traveling through North America and eventually make their way through Denver, Co, and Chicago, IL, before making their way back to the golden state to close out the tour in San Diego. Supporting acts for Boris on the trek will be Endon, Sumac, Subrosa, Helms Alee, Mutoid Man, and Torche. Scroll below to check out the complete itinerary for the upcoming show.

Boris has also shared another single called “Memento Mori” from the upcoming anticipated album. The song opens with ominous yet cinematic instrumentals and the aesthetic lasts the entire duration of the song, especially with the band’s lead vocals to provide a dreamy but complimentary addition to the unique sound. Scroll below to listen to the five minute track.

Pre-orders for Dear along with other band merch are currently available on Boris’ official website. After 25 years together, fans are anxious to see how the group managed to make this album sound as compared to their past LP’s. According to a press release from the group, Boris described Dear as “heavenly—far beyond heavy.” Back in May, the band released their first single and music video from Dear called “Absolutego,” which MXDWN writer Erin Vierra described as “dreamy” and looked “like someone took old photographs and had them purposely underdeveloped.”

McKenzie Dillon: University of Nevada, Reno Alumna. I graduated with a major in writing and a minor in journalism. I enjoy reading, writing, and listening to music of course. I was raised in the bay area, and am thrilled to be living back in California. Catch me at your local music festival, because there's nothing better than laying back in the grass and listening to your favorite bands or discovering new ones.
