Prophets of Rage Announces New Self Titled Album for September 2017 Release

Prophets of Rage have recently announced a self titled album that will be released on September 15th. Prophets of Rage is a rap/rock supergroup that formed in 2016 during the time of elections. From May 2016 to October 2016, the band went on a North American tour that consisted of songs from the member’s former groups and new material. In 2016, they released a extended play of The Party’s Over.

This self titled album will have 12 tracks and will be the band’s debut studio album. To help produce this full album, the band will be wrking with producer Brendan ‘Brien. The artwork for the album was created by the renowned street artists Shepard Fairey. The songs contained in this album surrounded the topics of different social issues. In the album’s lead single, “Unfuck the World“, there are a variety of recent social issues that are covered such as police brutality, militarism and the addiction to social media.  The tracklist and artwork are listed below.

According to Consequence of Sound, a press release was released with Michael Moore, the director of the band’s music video “Unfuck the World” stated “I am thrilled to once again be working with my old friends and comrades in the struggle for a just world. Prophets Of Rage is the right band, saying the right shit, at this very critical moment. This music video is our collective battle cry against those who seek to harm the innocent and the powerless. I am proud to have directed this video and I ask all who see it do their part to unfuck this world. ALL HANDS ON DECK!”
