GWAR, arguably one of the strangest metal bands you can’t help but love, are set to release a new album. The Blood of Gods is due out this fall through Metal Blade Records, and it will be the first album to feature Berserker Blothar on lead vocal duties. The new album is expected to be “a hard rock masterpiece, a new milestone for GWAR’s music that will be totally unexpected.”
Fans who are both eager to get their hands on a preorder and will be attending Vans Warped Tour will be in for a special treat. Festival attendees will be able to preorder the album before anyone else. At the GWAR merchandise, you can get your gear and your copy of the new LP on preorder with a “special laminate” that will guarantee of your very own CD.
GWAR will also be at this year’s Riot Fest, along with two other headline dates before returing to their homeland of Antarctica.
