Apparently, Ghost is a solo project. Tobias Forge, the frontman, was recently interviewed by CBS in Philadelphia where he said Ghost, because of it’s large amount of fluctuation of members coming in and out, that it technically is not a band.

Forge explained that because he has been apart of ghost from the beginning, he is able to come up with the direction and sounds that align with the band best. Although he uses this to help bring those who want to join up to speed and on the same page, he says it can also create some friction. Because there is no set drummer or guitarist, they are not a classic band.

“I actually refer to it as the earlier of the two options. Even though I’ve never wanted it that way, but at the end of the day, that is what it is. So I think it speaks clear for itself. I mean, I started it in 2006, and no one that was ever in the band in 2016 was even on the first record. Call it solo, if you want to, but I call it a project.”

The Swedish heavy metal group has been performing at some incredible shows like the Iron Maiden and is currently recording a fourth studio album to be released in August of 2018.
