Guns ‘N Roses Guitarist Reveals Band Is Working on New Material

Amidst Guns ‘N Roses’ massive Not in This Lifetime Tour, the iconic rockband has dropped news of another gem for juiced up fans regarding new material. According to their guitarist Fortus who joined the band in 2002, Guns ‘N Roses revealed they were in the creative stages of a brand new album.

“We haven’t started recording anything, when I say that, as far as in the studio doing an album,” said Fortus in an interview about the upcoming LP. “We’ve been recording a lot of stuff, just ideas, assembling ideas, but not going into a studio and actually tracking a new record.”

“It’s sort of too good not to happen at this point, that’s how I feel about it,” he continued. “This band is really a force right now, and I definitely hope that we do, and I think we’re all sort of counting on it, and we’re also planning on it.”

He also discussed his admiration for fellow band-mate Axl Rose, and confessed “I think the genius of Axl is his ability to assemble songs, from different parts, and make them feel cohesive as a song. I’ve never seen anybody able to do that in the same way.”

Guns ‘N Roses just announced a ton of new tour dates to their Not in This Lifetime tour, and will be making stops throughout Europe, Canada, and the U.S. with supporting acts including Royal Blood, Mark Lanegan & Otherkin, Tyler Bryant, The Darkness, and many more.
