Singer-songwriter, Angel Olsen, released her last album My Woman back in September of 2016. My Woman was Olsen’s third studio album and was accompanied by music videos for the tracks, “Intern”, “Shut Up Kiss Me”, and “Sister” all co-directed or directed by Olsen. The singer has recently been on a European tour in support of the album. The singer recently had a stop in Bologna, Italy where she made one fan’s night.
During the show she was given a request from a fan in the crowd to sing a very ‘Special’ tune. ‘Special’ is the name of a track that Olsen has never released and only ever played live. Delighted by the idea that her fans are watching her live YouTube channel, Olsen obliged and dove straight into the nine-minute tune with the whole ‘Special’ moment being captured on camera.
In addition to singing the tune for the crowd, according to fans on Reddit, Olsen also announced that ‘Special’ will finally be given an official release sometime this Autumn. Fans are excited for the songs release and it has left the press wondering if it will be released as a stand-alone single or as part of a larger collection of tracks. Hopefully Olsen will be making an official announcement soon and let us all know!
