System of a Down Return to the Stage, Play Many Songs for the First Time in Over a Decade

System Of A Down blessed the crowd at the Hallenstadion in Zurich, SWI with a performance on June 1 for the first time since October 6, 2015 while on their current European tour with Code Orange.

They also wiped off the dust on some of their classic tracks including “Pictures,” which had it’s first live airing since 2000, “Highway Song,” which hasn’t been performed since 2005, as well as “Violent Pornography” and “This Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I’m On This Song,” which were both played for the first time since 2006.

The Armenian-American heavy metal band from Glendale, California started in 1994 and have produced three albums that debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 out of their five studio albums. They were also nominated for four Grammy Awards, and their song “B.Y.O.B.” won the Best Hard Rock Performance of 2006.

Although they didn’t surprise us with any new music, they do have fifteen new songs in the works and as long as they get through some of trouble they faced with studio time, we should be hearing some new music very soon.
