After releasing vague teaser GIF, changing up social media accounts and announcing new tour, Washed Out has released a new song. Titled “Get Lost,” it features a heavy club dynamic while still retaining enough of the laid-back pop style that made them forerunners in the short-lived chillwave explosion. Also of note is that the song is being released by Stones Throw, a new development after Ernest Greene released the first two Washed Out LPs and lone proper EP on Sub Pop and Mexican Summer, respectively.

UPDATE: After the song dropped last night as an Apple Music exclusive, a video for the song has been released:

There is still no word about a new album from the group. Their last record, Paracosm, was released in 2013.
