Red Bull Sound Select presents Lil B at Metro June. The monthly concert series sponsored by Red Bull is an artist development program that aims to deliver the best in new music and Chicago’s Stefan Ponce and Femdot are set to perform.
New age rapper Lil B is known to rap in a style called “based” which is about leading a lifestyle of positivity and tolerance – which is something we need right now. The Berkley native has released several albums and mixtapes across streaming sites and has gained a huge online fan base. He raps about being yourself and embracing differences.
Chicago’s own Stefan Ponce will also grace the stage that evening. The producer/DJ that has given Chance the Rapper and Childish Gambino their biggest hits including Chance’s “Good Ass Intro” from Acid Rap. The producer likes to mix all kinds of styles of music with a slight emphasis on pop and rap. Ponce says of his work, “It’s so simple—I like my music to be very simple but a little abstract, too.” He has already performed with big names like Big Sean, Omarion and Macklemore and he’s just getting started. Femdot is also set to perform. The Chicago rapper is known to always be smiling which you can hear in his music. Don’t miss this incredible lineup June 8th at Metro.
