Grizzly Bear Announce New Album Painted Ruins for August 2017 Release

Information on bedroom folk group Grizzly Bear’s next album has slowly trickled out, and today we now know the record will be called Painted Ruins and will be released on August 18, 2017. This information comes via the Fillmore in Miami, who posted the news on Instragram promoting the band’s live show at the venue. This news comes on the heels of numerous Instagram teasers from the group and the release of their first new song in several years, titled “Three Rings.” The band began recording Painted Ruins in June of 2016.

They have also released a new song, called “Mourning Sound.”

According to Pitchfork, the band also announced a tour recently. This will mark the groups first live trek since 2013 and will run from October 5, 2017 to December 13, 2017. There are dates in the United Kingdom, Europe, United States, Canada and Mexico.
