The multifaceted and mixed genre Flying Lotus has had a big week on Soundcloud. Having just released remix to Angelo Badalamenti’s Twin Peaks theme song, which will be airing the premiere of season 3 May 21 and a sample of Queens “White Queen (As It Began),” called “Night Grows Pale,” FlyLo has brought new music for fans that haven’t heard a whisper since his most recent 2014 album, You’re Dead!  But, he wasn’t finished just yet.

FlyLo now released two more tracks called, “North Star3” and “You and Your Friends Are Dead,” which are collaborations with Thundercat and Brendon Small that both have hypnotic electric guitar strums that take the listener on a roller coaster of highs and lows.

“North Star3” has an intoxicating mellow sound with light strums of a guitar mixed with a drum beat and a rising increase in intensity of guitar and crash cymbals.“You and Your Friends Are Dead” is more of an upbeat and high tempo track that brings an intense high of electronic rock sound with lulls of light drums and guitar strums.

The DJ, filmmaker and rapper has released five studio albums and most recently unveiled a short-film called, Royal at the Sundance NEXT Fest last August where he also collaborated with Thundercat. Since, we’ve waited on new music from the bound-breaking artist.

We’re not sure if this means Flyo is prepping his fans for a new album or if he’s just dropping some new collaborations to listen to, we will all have to see what he may drop next. Listen to the new tracks below.
