Marilyn Manson Changes New Album Title from Say10 to Heaven’s Upside Down

Marilyn Manson has made it official—he’s finished working on his new album, which is now entitled Heaven Upside Down.

The anything but ordinary rocker’s tenth studio album was originally reported as Say10, following several teasers from the man himself. However after speaking with FabulousTV at the premiere of the new King Arthur: Legend of the Sword movie, it appears that is not the case. Manson stated that the followup to 2015’s The Pale Emperor is “finished.”

“I just finished my new album, I’m going on tour in July, it’s called Heaven Upside Down,” he said in the rather awkward interview. In addition to a false title, the album also had a false release dated. The album was widely believed to be dropped on February 14, Valentine’s Day, however that clearly came and went.

Manson also went on to state that the album would be “the last thing that people will expect,” whether that is a good or bad thing remains to be seen. “It is, I would say, the last thing people would expect after hearing The Pale Emperor,” Manson said. “Coming from the people who I’ve played it to, it’s a combination of Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals.”

He elaborated further, saying “it wasn’t my intent to go backwards. Everything goes in a full circle and it just becomes, without cannibalizing work from the past, the same thing: which is ultimately you.” While Manson said that it “was done very quickly,” it is his “most thematic and over-complicated” project to date. Then he throws a quote about the devil in there, so some things never change.

Check out the interview below and stay tuned for the summer (probs July) release.
