Mew – the Danish alternative rock band from suburb of Copenhagen – are currently on tour and will make a stop at Chicago’s Park West in August. The indie-rock group released their seventh studio album just a couple weeks ago titled Visuals which has received average reviews from critics. The band currently consists of Jonas Bjerre on lead vocals, Johan Wohert on the bass with Silas Utke Graae Jorgensen on drums.
Mew made an impression on the Danish music scene when they first emerged in the mid 90’s. Over the years they have managed to release seven studio albums, usually with very long and obscure titles. Their music has been described as indie/progressive rock and per the band’s website, they play a pretty packed schedule.
