Michelle Branch @ Slims 7/21

Singer Michelle Branch is heading back on tour! The songstress will be performing at Slims on July 21st. She will be touring on her Hopeless Romantic tour to support her newest album.

Branch rose to fame back in 2000, but her hit songs haven’t gone anywhere, they still have a permanent on most female empowerment playlists or throw back thursday playlists. The singer recently came back into the spotlight with her latest release, this year’s Hopeless Romantic. This is Branch’s first album since her 2003 album Hotel Paper. This album is known for the title song Hopeless Romantic, Best You Ever, Fault Line, and Knock Yourself Out. It should be noted that this album is a departure from her original work, which should be expected since she released music more than 10 years ago. It’s contemporary, experimental, and has blues rock vibes. Other than her newest album, Branch has released three other albums, her debut album back in 2000 entitled Broken Bracelet, 2001’s The Spirit Room, and the aforementioned 2003’s Hotel Paper. Her hit and most popular songs Breathe, Everywhere, Goodbye To You, All You Wanted, and Are You Happy Now? are still her best sellers, but with this album? Make room for some new favorites. Her sound has matured as she has, this newest album has sparks of bravery and a strong departure from her younger music.

Fans of Vanessa Carlton, Sara Bareilles, and Mandy Moore or just the nostalgic 20-something-year old will be down for this show. Branch’s music has matured and it’s some of her best work yet. Her musical talent has stayed the same so check out her new stuff and grab a ticket! Don’t say goodbye to this opportunity!
