Waxahatchee Announces Full Band Out In The Storm Tour Dates Summer 2017

Singer songwriter Katie Crutchfield, also known as Waxahatchee, has announced a slew of new dates in support of her upcoming new album Out In The Storm. The news comes from her label, Merge Records. Crutchfield, who also spent time in the pop-punk group P.S. Eliot (who played some reunion shows last year), is set to release her fourth LP on Merge Records July 14.

Joining Waxahatchee on the road are up-and-coming pop-punk group Cayetana (who are releasing a new album this month), teenage-fronted buzzed-about youngsters Snail Mail, Palehound and Outer Spaces. One show to keep an eye out for is the August 12 date in Raleigh, North Carolina where the band will perform with iconic noise-pop group Superchunk (whose frontman runs Merge Records) and Ex Hex, which features Mary Timony of Helium (who coincidentally are releasing new rarities collection this month).

In the meantime, check out this great cover of Everclear’s alternative hit “Santa Monica” that Crutchfield released with Kevin Morby.
