Mac Sabbath Releases New Video Featuring Fast Food Mascots for “Pair-A-Buns”

It’s a cover band. It’s a novelty act. It’s everything in between.

Mac Sabbath has been around since 2014 and it appears that the Black Sabbath themed band based out of L.A isn’t stopping anytime soon. The playful and yet sometimes over the top band is back again with their repackaged songs about fast food and nightmare induced costumes.

The members of the band which include Ronald Osbourne, Slayer MacCheeze, Grimalice, and Catburglar have finally released their first recorded song along with a clever music video to match their crazy theatrical sound.

The song, “Pair-A-Buns” is a reconstructed version of Black Sabbath’s popular song “Paranoid.” The same instrumental music that fans love but with a hungry lyrical twist. Unlike the original version which was written as a filler for Black Sabbath, “Pair-A-Buns” is anything but filler.

The video is filmed and edited by Jesus Rivera aka Demonbabies and includes claymation by Brad Uyeda The claymation, which has a the band of anti heroes waging a violent gun battle on fellow fast food mascots that include; Colonel Sanders, Jack In The Box’s Jack, the Wendy’s girl, as well as the Happy Star from Hardee’s. The video is filled with semi violent images of beloved mascots being gun down as well as close-ups of the lead singer belting out lyrics straight at the camera.

No matter what feelings one has towards this strange band, you gotta love the gimmicks.

Mac Sabbath recently co-headlined the Mockstrosity Tour 2017″ which had final show in Los Angeles on April 8th. Check out their music video down below. For even more fun, Fans can get a Flexi-Disc of “Pair-A-Buns”— the band’s sole studio recording to date—inside the Mac Sabbath coloring book, now available through its website.
