With a new album on the way in May, dance-punk pioneers !!! (aka Chk Chk Chk, Pow Pow Pow, or any other phrase involving three of the same words) have released a video for the second single, “Dancing Is The Best Revenge.” The album is titled Shake The Shudder and will be out on May 19 via Warped Records.

The video stars some award winning drag queens strutting their stuff on the catwalk with scenes of lead vocalist Nic Offer spazzing out to the song. By the end of the video Offer is out there with the ladies showing off his best high kicks and spin moves. Check out the clip below:

The song is pure !!!, with a driving beat, staccato disco guitars and Offer’s trademark falsetto driving home the titular chorus: “Dancing is the best revenge.” The singer explains that during recording sessions for the record, his voice was pitched up so much so that he became “Nicole Fayu,” a fictional character not unlike Morrissey’s Ann Coates or Prince’s Camille.

“When we recorded “Dancing Is The Best Revenge” I pitched up my voice, becoming Nicole Fayu in the studio – much like Prince became Camille and Morrissey became Ann Coates. the groove felt like a strut or walk and i imagined it akin to drag or ballroom culture.”

After a few minutes Fayu makes an appearance in the video, dancing along with the other ladies. This video, much like its predecessor from Shake The Shudder, features a ton of dancing and a great vibe. The video stars Nic Offer, Kamryn Moore-Fierce, Nikki Moore, Makena Moore, Phoebe Monroe and DeLa Strawberry.
