Metallica Buys New Equipment For Tribute Band Who Got Their Gear Stolen

Blistered Earth, a Metallica tribute band from Washington, played in Portland recently and had their tour van and equipment such as guitars, amps, drums etc. stolen.

According to SPIN, the band posted the news on Facebook and got the support of many as it was also covered by the local Oregon news station. With this attention given to the band, Metallica, who’s been dealing with cease and desist letter after being accused of plagiarism by Incubus, caught the news and provided the band with everything that the band was missing.

The band had said “Sometimes when bad things happen it really brings out the best in people. Thanx to the the attention you guys helped bring to the matter of our stolen gear & KATU and KOIN in Portland airing the story, James & the rest of the guys in Metallica ( thanx guys) have seen fit to replace our equipment.”

The band has released a full list of items that were stolen. This list includes guitars (all with cases), 1989 Gibson Explorer, ESP LTD KH 602, 2007 Gibson Flying V, Peavey Grind Bass, 2016 Rickenbacher Bass, Amps, Line 6 Spider Valve MKII HD100 amp headwith Line 6 FBV Shortboard MKII and Road Case, Mesa Boogie Mark V Amp Head with footswitch, Marshall JCM 800, 2203X Tube Guitar Amplifier Head with Road Case, Peavey Series 402 Bass Head, B52 AT412A Guitar Cab, Peavey Bass Cab 15’’, Peavey Bass Cab 4×10’’, Marshall 1960A Guitar Cab, Pedals, Morley Bad Horsie V2 Wah Pedal, Electroharmonix Metal Muff, Boss Super Overdrive SD-1, TC Electronic Polytune, BOSS CH-1 Super Chorus, Fulltone Custom Shop ABY True-Path Pedal, Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-808, and drums.
