Some serious girl power coming to Hollywood Casino Amphitheater: Sabrina Carpenter and Camila Cabello will perform the Show of the Summer on August 13th.
Sabrina Carpenter is one of the newest of the “Disney darlings”. She starred as Maya Hart in the hit Disney Channel series Girl Meets World and has now branched out as a recording artist. The seventeen year entertainer has already released two solo albums – Eyes Wide Open (2015) and Evolution (2016). Her single “Thumbs” which is pop song about embracing individuality has a jazz sound to it as well with shows her own individuality. Carpenter says her musical style has been influenced by Adele and Christina Aguilera.
Camila Cabello will also perform that day. It’s hard to turn on the radio without hearing this power voice. Although she is best known as a former member of Fifth Harmony, she has already created a solid solo career since December 2016. The small-framed Cabello has a very dominant soprano voice with great range which she displays on singles “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with Shawn Mendes as well as “Bad Things” with Machine Gun Kelly. Both songs have reached the top 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The Cuban-born beauty is currently working on her first solo album which she says will have a heavy focus on immigration. Cabello states, “I want to make a love song for immigrants” and little girls who have big dreams of coming to our country.
