RIP Nothingface Singer Matt Holt is Dead at 39

As Loudwire reports, we are very sad to announce that metal band singer Matt Holt of Nothingface was found dead in his home in Maryland a couple of days ago. He has been battling a degenerative illness for awhile but other than that we have no exact details on his death.

Holt has been a part of the band since 1995, when he replaced the original singer David Gabbard. He has been with the band for five albums. He is best known for his powerful and clean vocal range which really helped to establish the bands sound.

The band had disbanded in 2004 due to issue with their record label and although they were under contract they backed out of the festival circuit as well. They got back together in 2005 in attempts to make a new record but went 3 years with almost no progress. During this time, Holt was working with his band Kingdom of Snakes to continue some of his musical endeavors. Tom Maxwell claimed recently that Holt had a lack of work ethic which caused the band to disband for good.

Of course our thoughts prayers go with Holt’s family friends and fans who deal with this tragic loss.
