Radiohead’s Headlining Set at Coachella 2017 Marred by Sound Issues

In a day that went by relatively free of any big stories or drama, unfortunately for Coachella the biggest story so far is the sound issues that plagued the early portion of Friday night headliner Radiohead’s set. While the British alternative heroes gave fans what should have been a rare taste of the OK Computer standout “Airbag,” the sound was completely lost – credit the band for delivering an unflinching performance of the song, with Thom Yorke every bit as animated as The band then stopped for a period of time before kicking into Kid A’s iconic bass-driven “The National Anthem.” They made it to the twinkling “Let Down” before the sound issues struck again.

Yorke came out, still with an incredibly lighthearted mindset: “I’d love to tell you a joke to lighten the mood but this is Radiohead so fuck it.” The band then dutifully performed “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” with no apparent issues with the sound.
