The Swedish indie pop band, Miike Snow, will be coming to town in June. The band was started out under the name of Bloodshy & Avant by two childhood friends, Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg. After gaining success from producing, songwriting and collaborating with other artists, they met the third member of the band. In 2004, Andrew Wyatt added the icing to the cake becoming the vocalist. The group changed their name to Miike Snow after their friend Mike Snow, they had added an extra “i” for the look of it. They can be recognized by their jackalope symbol that is on their album covers.
Since the formation of Miike Snow in 2007, they have released three studio albums and a couple of singles. “Animal,” “Black & Blue” and “Genghis Khan” are just a few of their popular songs. After a three-year break, they released their third album in March 2016, called iii. The single “Genghis Khan” off the album made it on the US Alternative Songs Billboard. This year, Miike Snow had been touring with Phantogram and Glass Animals, while doing their own tour with Klangstof.
