Billy Bragg Announces Summer 2017 Bridges Not Walls Tour Dates

Last year, Billy Bragg and US singer-songwriter Joe Henry spent five days traveling by train from Chicago to Los Angeles recording the album Shine a Light: Field Recordings from the Great American Railroad along the way. Instead of recording in a sterile and sound proof studio their recording sessions were held in waiting rooms, hotels or on platforms. The album covers folk and country standards, songs made famous by Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Williams and Woody Guthrie.

“Music can’t change the world, but it does have the power to bring people together”, says Bragg, ahead of his ‘Bridges Not Walls’ tour. “In such divisive times, it seems a good place to start”.

Now with a new album on the way titled Roots, Radicals, and Rockers: How Skiffle Changed the Word (due out June 1st) The UK rocker has announced an extensive tour across both the US and overseas. Here’s where you can catch him in the US:
