Alt-J Releases Their New Video For “3WW” Following VR Game Teaser

Indie rockers alt-J are back with a new video for their “3WW” track, the song that brought with it the announcement of their new album, Relaxer.

The new Young Replicant-directed video is an impressive cinematic effort and details “a beautifully shot story of love and loss in Mexico.” The video starts as a funeral parade for a young woman leaves a small village and heads out into the wilderness. Eventually, only one man and his donkey are left with the responsibility of transporting the coffin, defending it from wild animals and storms, until something miraculous happens and well…check it out below to see for yourself.

The new track is also a stellar audio experience, as alt-J slowly builds on hypnotic instrumentals to a climactic finish with droning synths and pounding drums, a good sign of things to come on their third album in addition to their other new track, “In Cold Blood.”

In addition to the video, alt-J recently released a VR-game/experience that shares snippets of the upcoming album that you can check out here.

In addition to the new material, alt-J will be performing anywhere you can think of between their own solo tour and numerous festivals.

Check out the new video and tour dates below.
