Rise Against @ Concord Pavilion 7/6

Hardcore-rock band Rise Against is heading into The Bay area this summer! They will be playing at the Concord Pavilion on July 6th. The band will be co-headlining this tour with rock group The Deftones and will be opened by Thrice and Frank Iero and The Patience.

Rise Against has been bringing hardcore-rock into the mainstream for the past ten years, but their band’s origins began back in 1999. Forming out of Chicago, the band we originally named Transistor Revolt, but switched to their current name. The band’s most recent studio album came out in 2014 and is titled The Black Market. The songs I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore, Tragedy + Time, and The Eco-Terrorist In Me are on that album. Previous to that the band has released six other full length albums. Their breakthrough into mainstream music came in 2004 with their third album Siren Song of the Counter Culture. That album is known for their breakout song Swing Life Away, Give It All, and Paper Wings. Other than that, since then the band has enjoyed success. Another huge breakthrough for the band was their two other albums, 2006’s The Sufferer & The Witness and 2007’s Reason To Appeal. Commercially both albums did well. The big hits from those two albums include Ready to Fall, Prayer of the Refugee, and The Good Left Undone, Audience of One, Savior, and Re-Education (Through Labor).

Fans of Sum 41, Bad Religion, and Yellowcard will be down for this band. The angry sound of Generation X is perfectly executed by this band and their music continues to resonate with their younger listeners. Get up with this band and grab a ticket.
