Explosions in the Sky, the instrumental rock masters, have added additional tour dates in Fall 2017 for the West Coast fans. The group is supporting their latest release The Wilderness, an ambitiously big album that has been touted as their most “accomplished record yet.” The band is currently touring the East Coast with 17 stops and just confirmed 12 stops across the West side of the U.S. This tour is a testament to how good their new album is, the band is selling out their biggest venues to date.

The new dates were announced in tandem with a brand new music video for “The Ecstatics.” The first visual from the new album is a beautiful stop motion animated masterpiece created by director Hayley Morris. The video, which the director described as “an abstract odyssey into the nether regions of the mind” can be viewed below.

Explosions in the Sky is known for their live performances that are wildly intense and dramatic, delivering a moody and focused show that captivates crowds without a single lyric. The talent is palpable and the energy undeniable. Their success was found quickly and has ever since been a platform for the group to deliver amazing music.
