WATCH: Juliana Hatfield Releases New Video for “Short-Fingered Man”

Alternative rock singer-songwriter Juliana Hatfield has released a new video for the song “Short-Fingered Man” off her new upcoming album Pussycat, set to drop on April 28.

The music video features footage of Hatfield in her hallway. The Boston-based singer shares her thoughts on the video, “I love ’60s dancing so I did a bunch of that. Also I was thinking of early Jean Rollin vampire movies and of Alphaville (Godard), and those scenes near the end in which Anna Karina — and other residents of Alphaville — start to lose their equilibrium in the hallway and can’t keep themselves walking in a straight line. Caroline Jaecks took all of my footage and masterfully constructed a neat little narrative out of it that fits the song really well.”

Hatfield’s upcoming album addresses the current political climate. The song itself  “Short-Fingered Man” takes indirect hits at Trump.

On April 22 Hatfield will be kicking off her tour in New Haven CT. Check out the dates below:
