The veteren Montreal DJ Kid Koala has just released video for his song “Satellite.” A single from his latest album, Music to Draw to: Satellite. An album that landed it self with MXDWN’s High Fidelity label.

The video is exactly what the song calls for as it’s shrouded in vast landscapes, shots of space and vibrant visuals. Just as this song makes for the perfect background music to just about anything; this video would make the best background display projected on a white screen in some Art gallery. A very pretty video to match a musically beautiful song.

Music to Draw to: Satellite was Kid Koala‘s first album that he kicked the turntables on, according to Pitchfork. He tried his hand in more conventional instruments, such as guitar, bass and synth. Something he had only partly done once with 2011’s Space Cadet: Original Still Picture Score, where he assisted his DJ skills with piano, bass and viola playing. The video included vocals by icelandic singer Emiliana Torrini.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
