Emo-pop band All Time Low is making their way into The Bay this summer! They will be heading into Oakland to play the Fox Theatre on July 8th. They will be moving all over the world for their Young Renegades tour celebrating their upcoming album Last Young Renegade which will drop on June 2nd. On their tour they will be performing alongside SWMRS, Waterparks, and The Wrecks.
All Time Low was one of the quintessential bands for young pop-punkers back in the mid-200s. They were my favorite band at a young age due to their resemblances to Blink 182, Taking Back Sunday, and Fall Out Boy. The band started out back in 2003 and they released their first album The Party Scene in 2005. The band began to rise with their involvement on Van’s Warped Tour back in 2007 and their popularity only rose from there. Their first album was a hit with the songs The Party Scene, Lullabies, and This Girl’s A Straight Up Hustler, which were so popular they were re-recorded and put out with their second album So Wrong, It’s Right. That second album had the band’s breakout hit Dear Maria Count Me In, Poppin’ Champagne, and Remembering Sunday. From there the band put out 2009’s Nothing Personal, 2011’s Dirty Work, 2012’s Don’t Panic, and 2015’s Future Hearts. Other hits the band has are Missing You, Something’s Gotta Give, my personal favorite Weightless, A Love Like War, and their recent single Dirty Laundry. The band since its inception and its rise into the pop-punk scene has evolved and that has coincided with their fan’s aging. All Time Low has gotten more mature as the years have gone by and I think that was the key that allowed for them to hold their tight-knit fan base. Their songs range from fun pop songs to anthems to sweet acoustic songs.
Fans of The Maine, Yellowcard, and Cartel will love this band and this this show is worth the change. Make sure to check out their new album which drops a month before the band makes their way into Oakland, but for the older fan the band is for sure to pay homage to the songs that made them famous to begin with. I’ve seen them live and they remind me of Blink-182’s playful and energetic stage presence. Check ‘em out and I’ll see you there!
