For many Warped Tour is an annual pilgrimage that marks a chance to see a laundry list of popular rock, indie, and metal performers. The summer tour is on the cusp of releasing the fresh lineup of bands for festival goers, giving them the chance to get excited, tell their friends and make mock schedules for the day itself. Lucky for these hordes of fans there might be an early glimpse of the full lineup, with a supposed leak surfacing last night across the internet. The lineup that has been so generously offered spread to fans far and wide comes from a July 19th stop in Cincinnati, OH at the Riverbend Music Center. This Stop is half way through the tour smack dab in the middle of summer. If correct the lineup doesn’t actually represent the band list for the festival’s entirety, this is because day to day the tour lineup changes as it circles the U.S.
Here is a brief on what the Vans Warped Tour is for those of you unfamiliar. The rock festival started in 1995 by the infamous Kevin Lyman and has occurred every summer since. Its original emphasis was punk rock but grew to incorporate almost all genres of rock and even special cases of rap or pop. The tour is sponsored by Vans which gives them title rights to the festival, I.E. Vans Warped Tour. The festival is typically held at outdoor stages with a multitude of stages that are incorporated into a makeshift parking lot festival. At each stop bands start playing in the day and rock until sundown.
