Burger Boogaloo After Party @ Eli’s Mile High Club 7/1

Spend the end of first day of Burger Boogaloo back at Eli’s Mile High Club seeing five more awesome up and coming bands. They all play rock music so carry your vibes on over and watch these bands take a turn to kill on stage. Performers this time around are Rikk Agnew formerly of the band Adolescents, Mind Meld, White Knight, Mama, and Issac Rother & The Phantoms.

For a recap if you didn’t read the previous post, Burger Boogaloo is a annual music festival that is hosted in Oakland every year, it’s known for its awesome lineup. It’s hosted in Moosewood Park. As for Eli’s Mile High Club, it’s an Oakland staple. It’s located in North Oakland and is known for its intimate space, good drinks, and overall good vibes. Now, for these five bands this will be their first time they take the stage as the lineup changes each night for each party. The first act, Rikk Agnew is an alumni of the iconic punk band Adolescents. He took his vocal talent solo and has been killing it ever since. Then, there’s the band Mind Meld which is another punk/psychedelic punk sound. They’ve got their on bandcamp, so check them out before you head on over to this show. Another band, White Knight follows the punk lineup with their on the genre. Fourth is the rock band Mama. Lastly, is my personal favorite, Issac Rother & The Phantoms, which again is a terrific punk band to round out the lineup.

Fans of old school punk, some garage punk, and rock music will be down for this night of fun. Keep up with these aforementioned bands on either their facebook pages or bandcamps. Tickets will, again, be 5 dollars at the door! Cheap, fun, and totally worth it, come spend some more time at Eli’s.
