Wavves has just announced that they will be embarking on a Spring tour this year across North America. They will kick off the tour in Amarillo, TX at the Aztec Music Hall on April 21 and conclude their 36 show stint in Portland, OR at the Hawthorne Theater on June 6. The tour will have the group stopping in major cities such as Austin, Chicago, Toronto, Seattle and Los Angeles to name a few. The California group will be joined on various shows by big names such as Blink 182, Post Animal and Kino Kimino during the tour. For a full list of tour dates with indication on who Wavves will be sharing a stage with and when and ticketing information, see below.

The tour is in support of their newly announced follow up to their 2008 self-titled debut that is set for a release on May 19 of this year. The new album is titled You’re Welcome and is to be released via the band’s own Ghost Ramp Label. With two of the tracks having already been released, “Daisy” and “You’re Welcome,” fans can expect to hear great deal of new music during these shows. Although there were previous indications toward an April release of the new album, May 19 seems to be the solidified date.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
