WATCH: Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble Release New Video for “Love Captive”

The Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble has just release the first video off of their forth coming album, Find Me Finding You. The video is for the single “Love Captive,” which is the second song shared from the new album, and features Rob Mazurek and the duet of Hot Chip’s ALexis Taylor. The video can be seen below.

The new album is due out on March 24 and for what it is artistically meant to take a stance on, it could not have come at a better time. Find Me Finding You’s message to its audience is more so a call to action on a different way of thinking than anything else. The prevailing thought is that, “should we be responsible enough to endeavor into a world of basic incomes and open relationships, we would stand to take revolutionary strides as individuals and as a community. 21st-century flower children, leave the Dionysian model behind! Love without restrictions can be found with a principled, Apollonian approach. And after that, trade as well!”

The video for “Love Captive” follows Laetitia as she wanders around in a empty public amphitheater. She is faced with the concrete steps of the amphitheater that, according to a press release, are meant to resemble ascent, descent and reflection for all members of society. Through out the video she is crossed by silhouettes of other people crossing and moving across the frame. With the cranes of public works on the horizon, she is forced to move from this reality to the abstract shapes of a matching unreality. The video by David Thayer does a wonderful job of bringing the ideals of the song and of the new album to a visual stand point.

There is also a tour for this Spring that is taking place in support of the new album. The tour will begin on March 23 at the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN and run till May 27 at the South Street Arts Centre in Reading, United Kingdom. They will also be playing at the International Festival of Psychedelia in Liverpool in September on the 20-23 as part of this tour. For a full list of tour dates see below.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
