American heavy metal band Body Count is releasing their upcoming album Bloodlust on the 31 of this month, but fans are getting a teaser of what the amazing collection of tracks will sound like with another song release called “The Ski Mask Way.” The song describes criminal antics, and even “pokes fun” if you can call it that, at people trying to flex on social media.
I’m in your rear view, when you leave the club
How cold could I be, you look like food to me
All on instagram, showin’ that cash off
What you really hope, is I don’t take this mask off don’t make me punish you don’t want to hurt your wife
Come up off that watch, it ain’t worth your life
Ice T even made a comment about the specific line, saying “I was noticing people on the streets showing off their expensive jewelry and money on social media. They are just making themselves a target for the robbers out there just watching their Instagram to see what they are flaunting. In L.A., they call Instagram ‘Jacker’s Uber,’ seeing what clubs people are at and livestream the robbers to their front door.”
The rest of the track continues around the theme of robbing people and following through with their threats, rhetoric not too surprising coming from Body Count. The YouTube video has almost 30,000 views in just a short few days, so make sure to click below to listen to the track for yourself.
The group also recently released a music video for their song “No Lives Matter,” another track off their upcoming album. This year along with the new album, Body Count will be going on tour alongside fellow metal heads Megadeth.
