Loudwire CLRVYNT SXSW 2017 Event Features Exclusive Performance From Power Trip and U.S. Debut of Giraffe Tongue Orchestra

Just when you thought SXSW 2017 might not have anything exciting happening, right at the last minute comes this gem of an event. Brought to you by the good folks at Loudwire and CLRVYNT (vowel challenged properties unite!),  the event features bevy of stellar acts in hard rock and metal. That’s right metal fans! After a few years of almost no solid metal acts at SXSW, this one knocks it out of the park. This event features the U.S. debut of Giraffe Tongue Orchestra. While having had different lineups over the years, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra is a supergroup comprised of Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan, William DuVall of Alice in Chains, Thomas Pridgen of The Mars Volta and Pete Griffin of Dethklok.

Not to be outdone, the free event features the only festival appearance from rising metal stars Power Trip. Additionally, the event features the only area appearances from Pig Destroyer and Primitive Weapons PLUS the first ever U.S. appearance from Swedish hardcore band God Mother. The lineup is rounded out by Fister, Ringworm and Thou. This event is free with RSVP on Loudwire (URL below). Reportedly, the event will include DJ sets from Graham Hartmann, Fred Pessaro and Zoe Camp. There is also going to be an outdoor Mike’s Hard Watermelon Patio where fans can recharge their devices that will have food trucks and free Mike’s Hard Watermelon Lemonade.
