Hip-Hop artist Brother Ali has announced his 2017 tour dates in support of his upcoming album All Beauty in This Whole Life. Noted as The Own Light Tour, Ali will kick off on May 2nd in Omaha, NE making his way across the U.S to eventually end the tour in Toronto, ON on June 7th.
Recently, Ali dropped a single “Own Light” off the upcoming album. This will be the Minnesota-Natives sixth studio album, and the follow up to his 2012 release Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color. During an interview with HipHopDX, Ali talks about his creative direction for his upcoming release. “This album is a lot less overtly political in the sense of policies and distribution of things, It’s a lot more dealing with community and life, how to be a person, how to actively practice the art of loving and how to practice what it really takes to be a community.”
Fellow Hip Hop artist Sa-Roc will be joining Ali throughout the Tour, as well as Last Word and Sol Messiah. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 10th at 10 P.M.
