Aimee Mann Releases New Video for “Patient Zero” Featuring Bradley Whitford, Matthew Weiner and Tim Heidecker

Rock Singer- Songwriter Aimee Mann has dropped new video for her single “Patient Zero”, off her upcoming album Mental Illness, set to be released by the end of this month.

The video features multiple actors preforming a fictional play “The Hermit” with Bradley Whitford, James Urbaniak, Matthew Weiner, Rich Sommer and others.

Mental Illness, will be the follow up to her eight studio album Charmer released in 2012. In an interview with Stereogum, Mann discusses her thoughts on the upcoming release, “I was really in the mood to make a record that was as quiet and stripped down and bare bones as I could possibly manage. At that point I really did give myself permission to write. Because I write on acoustic guitar, my tendency is to write songs that are going to sound pretty acoustic. So I just really relaxed into that idea. I was writing softer, melancholy songs, which is the thing that comes easiest and is most fun for me. It’s not a deliberate thing. It’s more like: Do what you feel like doing.”
