It takes time to create art, and that is what the Devin Townsend Project with their most recent announcement. The Devin Townsend Project has revealed that they will return to the states for tour dates in April and May. Music is the language that everyone can understand, but at times it can be particularly frustrating when fans are not in the country that the artist is from. So in times like this regardless of potential revenue, the fans are the big winners.

Even more of an added incentive to come to the show, the Devin Townsend Project will be performing Ocean Machine live in its entirety. Not all artists are able to get to a point in their career when fans have a particular favorite when it comes to their discography. Ocean Machine is cherished by many who consider themselves fans of the group. This year look out for more announcements from the beloved group.

If your wondering why fans are so excited that Townsend is doing something like, well that’s because this album was released 20 years ago. Many fans, even myself, can recall where they were or how they felt when they were first introduced to an artist. This is why it can be somewhat difficult for an artist to venture out and try new things because fans have grown attached to the experience that the album provided.

The night will be filled with nostalgia, excitement and the screams of lyrics that have managed to stand the test of time. This year  Townsend will be doing the same over seas in Bulgaria. This is small hint to what would lead to a great year for Townsend, as it was announced that he was nominated for a Juno award which will air April 2nd.
