Wire, the English rock band formed in London, has released their song “Diamonds In Cups”, which will be a single a part of their upcoming album Silver/Lead. This release follows after their first singles release called “Short Elevated Period”.
The record was produced by Colin Newman, the singer/guitarist of the band. According to Consequence of Sound, there is a cut that features guitar that’s both buzzy and expansive with each other. This adds on to the band’s description of the album, which according to Diffuser, as “uniquely addictive 21st century psychedelic post-punk.” The song can be heard below.
This song with the album will be officially dropped on March 31st, which will be the same time as the band’s 40th anniversary of their first live show.
