Essence Festival has released their lineup for the 2017 event from June 30th to July 2nd in New Orleans. This festival includes Chance the Rapper, who will play at Oracle Arena on April 26th, John Legend, who will also perform at the Karoondinha Festival, and Diana Ross.
Essence Festival is a annual music festival that started in 1994. The festival focuses on different types of genres such as R&B, soul, funk, gospel, blues, hip-hop, jazz and reggae. Previous artist that have performed are Destiny’s Child, Third World and Alicia Keys. This year’s lineup is listed below.

According to the website, the festival will be located at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the Louisiana Superdome and other soon to be announced locations.
