Passion Pit Releases Ninth New Song in February and Michael Angelakos Shares Confessional Essay about Mental Health

If you are a fan of Passion Pit, then today is your lucky day as a new song has surfaced online from the beloved group. Social media is filled with negativity, so much to the point where it can become too much for some to handle. So on days when the music world is blessed with new music via a tweet by Michael Angelakos we can say that social media has its good benefits. Reported by CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND, since February, this is the bands ninth dong to be released, titled “To the Otherside” the new release features a piano forwarded sound has been used by bands like Keane and The Fray.

Like many artists, when new music is released there is always the possibility that a new album is on the way from that artist. For Passion Pit, it appears that the new release is getting fans ready for their upcoming album Tremendous Sea of Love. 

Along with the posting of the song, he also posted a message on Facebook referring to a mental breakdown that took place in 2009 during SXSW. He was later diagnosed with dissociative psychosis.

Earlier this year, Angelako was in the news for starting an organization that is geared towards new artists. Only 2 months after releasing their holiday album Passion Pit later returned with the release of new music earlier this year and followed that up with releasing 4 more new songs  a good way of keeping fans excited about what is to come next. The month of February was capped off with Passion Pit releasing one last new song titled “Undertow“.

Although it is exciting to hear new music from your favorite artists, it is better to hear that whatever issues that have been troubling them have received the proper amount of attention needed . The music business business can be as stressful as any other job as can be seen from the frustration that was felt by Passion Pit when they claimed that they had not yet been payed by GoodVybes fest.
