The idea has been tossed around for a while and it has finally come to fruition. According to Loudwire, Dreamcar has come together and just released there new song “Kill For Candy.” Back in January, the group had released some studio footage, so the fans of the bands involved knew something was up. The group consists of Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont Adrian Young (No Doubt) and Davey Havok (AFI). Now although people might think that this is just No Doubt’s way to continue the group without Gwen Stefani, but that is far from the intention here.
The song has a great 80’s sound and as always Havok’s dark tones are recognizable right away which makes for a great meshed sound for the group. As Havok has mentioned in interviews, he loves that his lyrics have a great honesty to them so fans will know that everything he puts out is real and raw emotion.
Dreamcar has released this track as part of their up and coming album which is planed to be released May 12th. They are also doing a small west coast tour this spring so be sure to check them out as well as their awesome new single!
