Wavves Releases Two New Songs “Daisy” and “You’re Welcome” and Announces New Album You’re Welcome for May 2017 Release

Southern California noise pop band Wavves has announced a new LP You’re Welcome, set for release on May 19, 2017 through the band’s own Ghost Ramp label. Though it was initially speculated that this record would come out in April, a mid-May release is not far off. In addition to the album announcement, the Nathan William-helmed project released the first two songs from the album, “Daisy” and the title track, “You’re Welcome.” The two songs are a promising start for a band that has seen nothing but building momentum since the release of their break-through with their self-titled debut in 2008.

This will mark the group’s sixth LP and follows V, which was released in 2015. While V was released by major label Warner Brothers, the relationship grew strained. Like more and more artists are doing these days, Wavves has opted to go the DIY route and release it on their own through Ghost Ramp.

In the short period of time between V and the forthcoming You’re Welcome, Williams has stayed very busy. He released an excellent album Slouch with his other band, Spirit Club, which included singles like “Room to Run.”
