Get ready for a the heavy metal mashup of the Summer as Slayer just announced 2017 Summer tour dates alongside industry mates Lamb of God and Behemoth. The bands will be hitting the road on July 12 in Minnesota and will pack their bags on Aug 20 in Phoenix, AZ. The tour flyer captures the essence of this epic get together perfectly, illustrating a gnarly three headed dog which symbolizes the three bands coming together to make somewhat of a metal monster. Make sure you snag your tickets on Friday for the metal show of the season.

Band members are equally as excited for the trip as fans are. In a statement about the upcoming tour, Slayer member Kerry King said “Not very often I get to go on tour where we are all friends to start. That being said, the potential for greatness at these events is mind blowing.”

Randy Bluthe from Lamb of God also commented, saying “This tour is gonna be the feel-good event of the summer- the gigs are gonna be like the Haight-Ashbury during the Summer of Love in ’67! OK, so that’s complete bulls—t, it’s gonna be absolutely nothing like that, so don’t show up with flowers in your hair looking for free hugs or anything stupid like that. It will definitely be a good f—ing time though (as long as your definition of a good time means brutal, caustic, and hideously loud music) – see ya there!”

Slayer will be headlining at Rock Festival this year alongside Korn and Avenged Sevenfold. The last fans have heard from Lamb of God was the release of their 2016 EP called The Duke, and concert goers this summer can probably bank on hearing the new material live. Last time fans saw Behemoth was on their Spring 2016 tour, and of course the only way curators could possibly top it was to add two more insane metal bands to the circuit. Get your tickets below and don’t miss out on the performance.

McKenzie Dillon: University of Nevada, Reno Alumna. I graduated with a major in writing and a minor in journalism. I enjoy reading, writing, and listening to music of course. I was raised in the bay area, and am thrilled to be living back in California. Catch me at your local music festival, because there's nothing better than laying back in the grass and listening to your favorite bands or discovering new ones.
