Passion Pit is on the brink of releasing a new LP one song at a time, continuing his incredible run of single tracks throughout the month of February. The songs are likely part of a collection that will be titled Tremendous Sea of Love (a title that Passion Pit main-man Michael Angelakos confirmed is a tongue-in-cheek reference to our fearless leader Donald J. Trump, who called crowds at a campaign rally a “tremendous sea of love”). The latest song to be released is the semi-self-titled cut “TSOL” (sorry, not some sort of send-off to SoCal punks True Sounds of Liberty). The mostly-ambient track features a few flutters which could be vocal samples, but it largely feels like an extended, four-minute interlude. You’ll feel a big-league, tremendous sea of love when you listen to this new song.

The run of songs being released by Passion Pit began around the middle of February when he released “Inner Dialogue” and “Somewhere Up There” and followed it up over the weekend with another four songs: “Moonbeam,” “Hey K,” “I’m Perfect” and “You Have The Right.”

A seventh new song came last week in the form of “Undertow,” which was labeled as a demo version when posted. With now eight total songs released since the middle of the month, it bears the question of when and if a traditional LP will be announced at any point, if these songs make up the entirety of the release, or if they are simple teasers to prepare the music world for a new Passion Pit album.
