Six-time Grammy® nominated singer, songwriter and producer Kaskade took to twitter to announce he would be hitting 6 cities for a small tour named “Spring Fling.”
The “Spring Fling” is being presented by Live Nation with the first stop happening on May 11th at Echostage in Washington, DC as Kaskade makes his way across North America. Kaskade was recently inducted into Pete Tong’s Hall of Fame after which he sold out London’s The Steelyard on his most recent UK date almost immediately after the tickets went on sale and it is expected that Spring Fling will do the same.
Noticeably missing from the list of dates was Los Angeles where this past May a visit from the DJ almost caused a riot as Kaskade performed to 30,000 fans in what has been his largest solo headlining date of his career. The event was presented by Insomniac and Exchange LA marking the first collaboration between the two companies outside of the old Los Angeles stock Exchange building the nightclub is named after. It was also the first dance music event in 45 years to take place at the Convention Center in Los Angeles.
Kaskade’s latest album Automatic claimed the #2 spot on the Billboard Dance / Electronic albums chart and has amassed over 50 million streams on Spotify. One of Kaskade’s proudest memories of the album come’s from a stop at Lollapalooza where Paul McCartney was playing on the main stage and had trouble hearing his acoustic guitar over the sound of the bass of Kaskade’s Automatic in the background overpowering his music. “I intended this,” McCartney had joked to the crowd. “It’s like a crazy mash-up of this song and whatever shit they’re playing.”
Presale tickets for the Spring shows will be available for purchase via www.kaskademusic.com starting this Wednesday, March 1st at 9am local time.
