Erasure Announces New Album World Be Gone for May 2017 Release

Erasure, who will be performing at the Roskilde Festival, has announced a new album called World Be Gone, which will be released through May 19th via Mute.

World Be Gone was written, performed and produced by Erasure and mixed by Matty Green. According to press release, the songwriters present a different mood with the mashup between politics and art and looking toward the future. Vince Clarke has stated “Obviously the current political climate lends itself to lots of ideas.” Andy Bell adds “I think there’s an under swell of opinion, and people are slowly waking up. I’m hoping that people will take the album in a positive way, that they’ll use it as optimistic rabble-rousing music.”

The album will be available on different types of hard copies such as a limited edition orange vinyl, regular vinyl & cassette. If one were to pre-order the album by April 7th, they can get their name included on the album artwork. This is available for 500 copies and these pre-orders will be given access to the exclusive fan ticket pre-sale for the upcoming tour.

In order to support this album, the duo will be touring with Robbie Williams during the summer.
